Welcome back to school and to another wonderful year with the Lake County Counselors Association. Last year was another record breaking year for us as our membership went above 100 yet again. I am hopeful that we will start the year at that level and increase even more. Having been a member of LCCA for 7 years now and president for my third year, I value the connections I have made and the opportunities I have had to grow in my profession. I hope that all of you are finding the same thing and will encourage your fellow counselors to join with you this year.
This year LCCA will continue to offer two afternoon workshops, two college tours, the annual conference, and the ever popular LCCA January social. In an ongoing effort to reach out to and mentor new counselors, we also plan to continue offering a New Counselors’ Luncheon prior to the fall workshop. We hope that all counselors who have three or less years of experience will consider joining us for a time to share and exchange ideas (including those of you who came previous years and who still have three years or less experience). I hope that all of you will join us each and every time for the wealth of information provided, the chance to share ideas, and the continued connections with good friends. As an added bonus, the workshops, tours, and conference are all eligible for CPDUs now that we need those to renew our certification. The dates for each event are listed below.
